Say it
One tap on the button, or on the widget on your home screen, and you are recording. Tap again and it becomes text — even without a connection; the phone sends it once it is back online.
Tap and talk. Varve turns your voice into text and puts it into your day next to meetings, reminders and tasks. All of it happens on servers in the EU.
Varve is in a closed beta: only invited testers can sign in. We will open it to more people later.
A varve is a yearly layer of sediment — time you can read afterwards. Varve works the same way: every thought, conversation and appointment settles into your day, and you can find it again. We say plainly what works in the beta and what is still to come.

Long conversations in full. You get the whole text, a summary and the tasks with owner and due date, and the phone always shows that it is recording.
Search everything you have said and heard — notes, meetings and tasks — even when you only remember a single word.
“Today” brings notes, meetings, reminders and tasks together in one overview that keeps itself up to date — on your phone and in the browser.

What you say is yours. Varve is built so it stays that way.
Everything Varve does with your voice — speech to text, summaries and tasks — happens on servers in the EU. Your recordings are not sent to the US.
We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers. That is not how Varve makes money.
While Varve records, it says so in the phone's notifications, all the time. You cannot record in secret.
Not with Google or Facebook. Your account lives with Varve, and nobody else sees when you use it.
This site sets no cookies to follow you and does not recognise you. That is why there is no cookie banner.
In the beta we tell you what works and what does not. The same goes for the privacy policy.
The beta is closed so we can follow every tester closely. Only people we have invited can sign in — we will open it to more people later.
You have an invitation from us by e-mail. It is personal and valid for the address it was sent to.
Download it here for Android 10 or newer. It will come to Google Play later.
Use the e-mail you were invited with. That is it — and the app tells you itself when a new version is out.
Android 10 and newer · By invitation only
Not yet. The beta is closed, and we invite the testers ourselves. We will open it to more people later.
After Android. We build the app so the same code can run on iPhone, but we want Android to work well first.
On servers in the EU. The sound and the text are stored there, so you can find them again on your phone and in the browser. We do not trade in them.
Because the app is not in Google Play yet. Android asks the first time you install an app from outside the store. Check the numbers on the download page against the file you got.
